Swedish Massage
Swedish massage is a popular technique that helps relax the body using smooth strokes and circular movements. By using lotion or oil, the therapist can easily move and relieve muscle tension. This type of massage boosts relaxation, reduces stress, and revitalizes the body by improving blood circulation and oxygen flow. It's a good option for beginners or anyone wanting both physical and mental well-being.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger point therapy is a powerful technique that zeroes in on areas of muscle tension by mapping out specific points that cause referrals to other areas of the body. If you suffer from lower back pain, shoulder or knee pain, headaches, or tension from workouts or overuse at work, Trigger Point Therapy can help. This therapy effectively targets chronic muscle tension, providing relief and aiding in your healing journey.
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle bodywork which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. MLD is great for general detoxification and supports a healthy immune system. Lymph drainage is often used post-surgery for residual swelling (such as breast cancer surgery, joint replacements etc.).
MLD can be done as a full body session or more focused work for a certain area of the body.
Cupping Techniques
Cupping therapy is a technique where cups are placed on the skin to create suction. This suction helps improve blood flow, and promote relaxation. The cups can be left in place or moved across the skin. As the cups lift the skin, they create a vacuum effect that helps with pain, inflammation, and healing. While cupping may leave temporary marks on the skin, it is a safe and effective way to help muscle soreness, sports injuries, and stress-related tension.
